Remote Administration

Remote Administration is a tool of StatWin that is intended to provide remote administration functions of computers where Client is installed.

Computer and Employee Monitoring - Remote Administration

You need to select Client (group of Clients) to be administrated remotely. Select it from the list of created Clients (default value is Local).

Click Clients button to maintain Client records (see Client Control).

After you select Client (group of Clients) for remote administration, use following functions:

  • Send Message - use it to send messages to Client (group of Clients).

    Enter the necessary text to Message text field. Click Apply button to send message.
  • Execute - use it to execute commands on Client (group of Clients).
    Computer and Employee Monitoring - Remote Administration > Execute
    Enter the necessary command to Command line field. Click Apply button to execute entered command, after that entered command will be executed by Client command line interpreter.
  • Exit Windows - use it to shut down Client (group of Clients) computer.

    Exit options:
    • Log Off - closes all open programs, logs off Windows session, does not shut down computer.
    • Restart - closes all open programs, logs off Windows, shuts down Windows and restarts Windows.
    • Shut Down - closes all open programs, logs off Windows, shuts down Windows. Whether to turn off the power depends on set power settings.
    Click Apply button to shut down computer.
  • Freeze Computer - use it to freeze Client (group of Clients) computer activity. To resume computer activity, user should either restart computer or turn off and turn on computer.

    Click Apply button to freeze computer.
  • Screenshot - use it to take screenshot of Client (group of Clients) workplace (desktop).

    Use Screenshot quality field to set screenshot quality (the less the number, the less screenshot quality).
    Select one of the following radio buttons to choose view mode of screenshot:
    • Best Fit - screenshot display size is fit up to view window, i.e. if view window size is changed then so is screenshot display size.
    • Actual Size - screenshot is displayed in its actual size, i.e. if view window size is changed then it does not affect screenshot display size.
    Click Apply button to take screenshot.
